Completion Progress on View — User Guide
This page lets you turn on “Completion Progress on View” for all courses at once (except one special course that is left unchanged). Learners will then see their completion progress when they open each course.
Who can use it?
Only users who have access to this page (e.g. your administrator will give you the link or place it in a menu). It is intended for site or course administrators.
How do I open the page?
Open the page in your browser. The exact address depends on your site; it is usually something like:
Your site URL + /local/completion_bulk/completion_progress_view.php
Example: https://yoursite.com/local/completion_bulk/completion_progress_view.php

C --> D[Confirm in the popup]
D --> E[See success or error]
- Open the page in your browser (see “How do I open the page?” above).
- Read the short message — it explains that “Completion Progress on View” will be enabled for all courses except the one with ID 1.
- Click the “Update Now” button.
- A confirmation popup appears. Click OK to continue or Cancel to do nothing.
- After you confirm, the page will refresh and show either:
- Success — and how many courses were updated, or
- Error — with a short message (e.g. connection problem). In that case, contact your administrator.
What happens when I click Update Now?
- Every course on the site (except the course with ID 1) is set so that Completion Progress on View is enabled.
- Learners will see their completion progress when they view those courses.
- Nothing is deleted; only a setting is turned on for existing courses.
Tip: You only need to run this once (or when you want to apply this setting to all courses again). If you get a success message, the change is already applied.
